The Scannell Project in Chesterfield County is a 405,000 sf speculative warehouse on a 28 acres site. We were contracted for $3.2 million by FCL Builders, a national construction management firm. Branscome started this project December 2019 and completed October 2020.

This mass grade project involved approximately 29,000 CY of topsoil stripping, 10,000 CY of cut to fill, 45,000 CY to fine grade the building pad, and a permanent sediment basin that was 16,000 CY of cut to fill with an 11,000 CY clay core liner. To level the site, a 14-foot cut at the front of the property and a 20- foot fill at the back were required. Four retaining walls totaling 2,300 linear feet ranging from 5 to 14 feet tall were built on each side of the property to help with stabilization. The parking and drive lanes included 28,000 tons of aggregate base, with approximately 11,000 tons of asphalt. The team has worked diligently and safely to meet the tight schedule of this project.
